London weather: Exactly when 60mph Storm Ciara winds and rain will hit your part of the city

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for London today (February 9) as Storm Ciara arrives to cause major disruption in the capital.

The weather experts have warned flying debris could lead to injuries or danger to life, some roads and bridges closed, power cuts and disruptions to travel.

Strong winds are expected to reach up to 60mph in London and rainfall is also set to to last all day.

So here is the local weather forecast for your part of the city.

Bromley

At 9am strong winds in Bromley are expected to be 58mph increasing to 59mph between 10am and 12pm.

By 2pm winds are expected to reduce to 54 mph and 49mph by 4pm. From 8pm Gusts are forecast to then ease-up to 43mph.

Rain is also predicted from 9am, getting heavier between 12pm and 4pm, and lasting all day.

Croydon

Wind gusts of 59 mph are expected to hit Croydon at 10am and last until 1pm when gusts will then reduce to 54 mph.

By 4pm, wind spe are expected to be at 50 mph and will reduce to 44 mph by 8pm. Rain is expected from 9am, getting heavy between 11am ad 4pm, and lasting all day.

Enfield

Between 9am and 11am wind gusts will be 55mph and increase to 56mph by midday.

Wind gusts will then begin slow down over the course of the afternoon in Enfield and will reach 50mph by 3pm and 41mph by 10pm.

Rain is expected to last all day but will be much heavier between 10am and 3pm.

Barnet

Between 10am and midday wind gusts will reach 58mph and 57mph at 1pm.

Throughout the afternoon gusts are predicted between 54mph and 51 mph, come 10pm it should ease up to 44mph.

Rain is expected from 9am and will last all day, but will become heavier between 10am and 6pm.

Dagenham

Gusts of winds are predicted to reach 58mph by 10am and will reduce slightly to 56mph by midday.

Throughout the afternoon gusts will slow down in Dagenham to 53 mph by 2pm and 45 mph by 8pm.

Rain is expected from 11am, and will be heavier between 12pm and 4pm, and will last the duration of the day.

Walthamstow

In Walthamstow, wind gusts will rise to 57mph at 10am and wil remain between 54mph and 50mph between 11am and 4pm.

Spe will then reduce to 46 mph before rising to 48mph at 6pm. By 9pm gusts will be around 44 mph.

Rain is expected from 9am and will last all day, but will be heavier between 12pm and 5pm.

Uxbridge

By 10am wind gusts will reach 57 mph in Uxbridge and will reduce to 54 mph by 1pm.

Come 4pm gusts are forecast at 43 mph but will increase again to 48 mph by 6pm. Winds are expected to be 41 mph from 10pm.

Rain is expected from 9am and will last all day, but will be heavier between 12pm and 5pm.

Ealing

Winds gusts in Ealing will become stronger over the course of the morning rising from 51 mph at 9am to 57 mph by midday.

It will then ease up a little to 52 mph by 3pm and 46 mph by 7pm.

Rain is forecast from 9am and will last all day, although will be heavier between 12pm and 5pm.

Hounslow

Wind spe will increase for 54mph at 9am to 58mph by midday.

Gusts will then slow down slightly to 52mph from 2pm and again to 47mph at 5pm. They will then get stronger at 6pm to 50mph before reducing to 44mph by 9pm.

Rain is expected to last all day and will be heavier between midday and 5pm.
