Greece‘s Moria refugee camp faced closure last September over ‘uncontrollable amounts of waste’.

The biggest refugee camp in Greece, Moria was declared ‘dangerous for public health and the environment.’

They were issued a 30-day deadline for improvement and it now seems like Artolution will have been able to ease some of the improvements.

The New York Times visited the camp in October last year, and found squalid conditions where around 9,000 people were living in a space designed for just 3,100.

They reported that the overcrowding at the camp is so extreme that asylum seekers spend as much as 12 hours a day waiting in line for food that is sometimes moldy.

The majority of the camp’s residents are Syrian, Iraqi and Afghan refugees, many of whom have suffered wartime traumas that are then exacerbated by the overcrowded and static conditions, they reported.

Katie’s trip follows claims that her long-term relationship with Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx has come to an end.

Jamie allegedly declared that he was ‘single’ at a February Oscars party, but since then, neither has addressed any break up publicly.

It’s been just over two years since Katie and Jamie went public with their notoriously secretive romance, after years of speculation.

Last November, there was speculation that they were planning a secret wedding in Paris, despite never confirming an engagement.
