Gov. Lamont To Visit New London Tuesday

NEW LONDON, CT — On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Ned Lamont will be joined by New London Mayor Michael Passero, City of Groton Mayor Keith Hedrick, Connecticut Construction Industries Association President Donald J. Shubert, and other local elected officials for a news conference at the Gold Star Memorial Bridge in New London to discuss the future of Connecticut’s transportation infrastructure.

The bridge, which is the largest structure in the state at a little over one mile in length, carries I-95 across the Thames River between Groton and New London and is used by about 106,000 vehicles per day.
