When Matthew Corry was travelling through Asia, he found that he had just two choices: wearing damp or dirty clothing.

As he watched friends hang their ‘socks and jocks outside the windows’ on buses to dry them, the young Sydney-based law student was inspired to created a device that would help him dry his clothing fast.

As a result, Mr Corry has developed the Dry-Go – a small 400 gram device that dries clothes in just one minute – and pitched it to the world on Kickstarter.

The Dry-Go: A Sydney law student, Matthew Corry, has invented a device that dries clothes in just one minute

Perfect for travellers: Mr Corry came up with the idea when he was travelling through Asia, and saw his friends desperately trying to dry their clothes out the window of buses

No more waiting around: Mr Corry hopes his Dry-Go can save people time and help them enjoy their trip

‘I was thinking about my travels earlier this year and I had the idea to create a light and portable device that would dry clothes almost instantly,’ Mr Corry said.

‘I’ve spent the past 10 months working with designers, engineers and suppliers to refine the concept and bring this product to life.’

The small machine uses ‘heat and ventilation to dry clothes in one minute’ where all water is evaporated through the holes in just one minute.

Easy: All users need to do is place their wet clothes in between the plates, close them, wait for one minute and the clothes are ready to go

‘This product is great for travellers but it is also great for skiers if you wipe out in the snow,’ Mr Corry said.

‘As well as parents if you need to quickly dry a school uniform in the morning, for business people if you need to freshen up between meetings, or for campers or for anyone who has to quickly dry clothing.’

Progressive: The small machine uses ‘heat and ventilation to dry clothes in one minute’ where all water is evaporated through the holes in just one minute

Fundraising: Mr Corry has so far raised $4,565 of his $10,000 and has less than 70 hours left to raise the remaining funds

Big plans: Following the campaign, he plans to add a pop-up handle, top plate and flat temperature control dial, as well as polishing the appearance and potentially bringing the time down to 45 seconds

As a result, the aspiring entrepreneur hopes to remove some of the troubles that come with ‘unpredictable’ travel life and help people spend more time enjoying their holidays without hassle.
