Prince Harry and Meghan visit Canada House in London to say thank you

“Did you have a good holiday?” the Duke of Sussex asked a group of staff as he and the duchess arrived at the Canadian high commission in London yesterday.

It should have been the other way around. For it was Harry and Meghan who had just had the holiday: quite a big one.

The couple’s arrival at Canada House marked their first appearance after seven weeks out of the public eye while they took what Buckingham Palace called “extended family time”. They marked their return with a royal first: an unprecedented official thank-you for an unofficial — and until a couple of weeks ago, decidedly private — trip to Canada. A trip it appears that the couple enjoyed so much that they may return shortly.
