PH bet Cyrille Payumo crowned Miss Tourism International 2019

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines’ representative Cyrille Payumo was crowned as the new Miss Tourism International 2019 during the coronation night on Friday, November 8, at Sunway Resort Hotel Spa in Malaysia.
Aside from winning the crown, Cyrille also won Best in National Costume. Her costume was made by designer Rich Sabinian.
Cyrille, who was this year’s Mutya Pilipinas 1st runner-up, succeeded Astari Indah Vernideani of Indonesia. She replaced the original winner, Tyra Goldman, who was unable to compete after the organizers rejected her for having dual citizenship.
Cyrille is the latest Filipina to win the title after Jannie Alipo-on in 2017. Other Filipinas who won the title include Angeli Dione Gomez (2013), Rizzini Alexis Gomez (2012), and Maria Esperanza Manzano (2000). – Rappler.com
